A Buffalo Harbor Sailing Club “Regular Member” enjoys sailing as boat crew. If you are trying to register a boat to race, please go to Racing Program registration.

A Regular Member has all the benefits of other members including access to all club events, reduced fees for regatta parties and club merchandise, the ability to volunteer for committee boats and to run club events.

Regular members may sail exclusively on one boat or participate on several boats. If you do not have a relationship with a registered boat and need assistance finding a position, please register for Crew Bank instead. Skippers needing crew will review your sailing experience on Crew Bank and contact you directly.

The Buffalo Harbor Sailing Club races by the rules set forth by US Sailing. Membership in US Sailing is optional. You may choose that option on your registration page. You can learn about the benefits of US Sailing membership here. We encourage you to support this governing body.

US Sailing Membership – We strongly encourage all sailors to join US Sailing. US SAILING is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of sailing and sailboat racing in the United States. Its’ mission is to encourage participation and promote excellence in sailing in the United States. US SAILING accomplishes this through volunteers and member organizations, supported by an administrative staff.

BHSC is a MVP member of US Sailing and as a result we can offer you a LOWER price for your annual dues/membership. If you have a single membership and pay US Sailing directly, you will pay $65 for the year. Via BHSC, your rate is only $55. Family rate with US Sailing is $115, pay via BHSC for only $85. BHSC receives “credits” that we use to purchase items from the US Sailing store (rulebooks, trainings, etc.) for all new and renewal memberships. US Sailing enrollments are pooled and sent to US Sailing shortly after May 1, 2022. If your US Sailing renewal is before May 1st, simply let US Sailing know you are paying via BHSC. US Sailing will adjust your renewal date accordingly.

The Campaign to Round Up is a donation to our escrow for capital purchases such as a new boat. It is not used for operating expenses. Please consider making a small donation- only $10 increases your membership cost to $65..well worth it. The donations add up over time and with many contributing!
